Swish Horse is not just another equine products manufacturer. It is a business where designs are constructed with the horse in mind. The business was established in November 2003 with the launch of two Australian designed and made products - the Swish Horse Daybag and Travelbag (Australian Innovation Patent 2002100666). In its first three years of operation, Swish Horse developed its customer base and focused on understanding their requirements. As a result, additional market research was conducted to develop new products. Six years into its operation, Swish Horse manufactures seven products in various sizes and materials. In addition to being a manufacturer of Australian made equine products, Swish Horse has developed strong relationships with two overseas companies; The Cashel Company in the United States and Woof Wear in the UK. These relationships have resulted in Swish Horse acting as the Australian Distributor for Cashel and a Dealer for Woof Wear. In April 2009, Swish Horse expanded its business and opened the “Swish Horse Equine Resource Centre”. The concept of the Resource Centre is an Equine Hub where customers have access to all things equine related. Location was a key factor and the infrastructure was built between an established stockfeed supplier (Southside Stockfeeds) and a farm supplies shop (Kilmore Pastoral), thereby forming the ‘equine hub’. The Swish Horse Equine Resource Centre offers a unique experience for the customer where they can come in and have access to:
- Retail Therapy
- Great coffee at our coffee bar
- Embroidery Services
- Research and literature
- Education Seminars
