Using a soft tape measure, start
at the side of the dock where the tailbone meets the rump and follow
the natural fall of the tail. If your desired length is not on the size
chart then call us for a custom order. |

Average =
Dock size will match the height of your horse. For example: You have a 15.2hh horse (Sml Hack) and he has an average dock we would make the bag with a hack dock size(3). If he has a thin (fine) dock we would choose galloway dock size(2), or if he has a really thick (bushy) dock we would choose a warmblood dock size(4). Confused? The best thing to do if you're not quite sure is to provide a circumference measurement around the widest part of the dock at the top. | Pick a length slightly longer than
your tail to allow for some growth. When you get your new tailbag hold it up against the horse first, instead of putting it on, to check if it’s roughly the right length. If it doesn’t fit, you can send it back unmarked for another size. |
